
OPRF Youth Football is a community-based, non-profit, organization providing contact football for children ages 6* - 14. The program is divided into levels of competition depending on age, weight, skills and experience. OPRF competes in the highly regarded Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL), which includes several of the state’s finest programs. The experienced coaching staff stresses the fundamentals of the game with an emphasis on instruction, teamwork and fun!

2010 Season Information
WEATHER: If it is only raining, the teams will practice. If the weather becomes dangerous (lightning for example) the teams will not practice. If practice is cancelled you will receive a telephone call as soon as the decision is made.PRACTICE continues 5:30-7:30 on the grass field to the west of the high school between the baseball and softball diamonds. Wear full pads, practice jersey, helmet, mouthguard, practice pants, a protective cup and cleats to practice. It is advisable to bring a water bottle to every practice. Be dressed and ready to begin practice at 5:30. Everyone is to have separate practice pants and game pants. Do not wear game pants to practice.
Practice Ends For Everyone at 7:30. Promptly exit the field at 7:30.
Dropping off and picking up for practice at the grass fields must NOT BE DONE ON LINDEN AVENUE! Do not park, stop or pause your car on Linden Avenue. The interference with the residents of Linden Avenue at the start and conclusion of football practice is significant. Help Youth Football be a good neighbor and drop players off on Erie Street and enter the practice field by walking AROUND the tennis courts.
Spirit Wear will no longer be available at practice. If you need to pick up spirit wear that was pre-ordered, you will be contacted. After August 13, spirit wear will be for sale at home youth football games.
Please Note: Parents are not allowed on the fields. Parents are to remain in the bleachers or outside the fence. No bicycles are allowed on the turf field at any time. Cleats are not allowed on the running track.
Schedules are posted for the Big 10 teams and are nearly completed for Pac 10 teams. Please go to the TCYFL website and select "Schedules" to see when your team will be playing.
Practice times are generally M-F 5:30-7:30, but will change as sunset becomes earlier. Games will begin August 28th. The last games will be completed 2 weeks before Thanksgiving (weather permitting.) Then we will have a banquet to celebrate the season's accomplishments. Teams will play home games at OPRFHS stadium and other local fields on Saturday or Sunday.
