OPRFYF is a tackle program for Oak Park and River Forest elementary school children ages 6-14. The program has five different levels based on age and weight.
We are a member of the Chicagoland Youth Football League (formerly the Tri-County Football League) and we play teams from 20 towns in more than three counties who are also in the league. There are two conferences in the league. To view the towns in each Conference visit the league web site at http://www.tcyfl.net
We play nine games, with four or five home games in alternate years. Home games are played at Oak Park River Forest High School Stadium located at 600 W. Lake St, Oak Park, IL. Playoffs begin after the regular season. The Conference Champions play a Super Bowl at the end of the season.
Each of the five age and weight levels has two or more teams at each level, depending on enrollment, with one team at the Mid Ten level. The Mid 10 team at each level is for more experienced players and the Pac Ten team at each level is a development league. Every team at every level will play a full schedule of organized games against teams from other towns.
OPRFYF is a not-for-profit organization administered by a Board of Directors. All of its members are volunteers.
Head Coaches are league certified. Our program is designed to teach the basic fundamentals in an environment of competition, sportsmanship and fun. |
